چکیده
The refractive index (RI) is an important physiochemical property of deep eutectic solvents (DESs) for application in the optical identification specific substances or measuring concentration solutes solutions. However, available data on RI DESs limited. Here, a systematic investigation 48 typical and 30 mixtures with water was conducted under atmospheric pressure. effect temperature range 293.15–338.15 K, hydrogen-bonding donors (HBDs), acceptors (HBAs) investigated. Furthermore, as function mass percentage 20–80% also studied. It found that its aqueous binary decreases linearly increase temperature. HBDs HBAs had significant influence DESs. Among them, choline chloride (ChCl)/phenol ChCl/o-cresol were obviously higher than those other addition would decrease DESs, DES content (wt %) increases 20 10 there no linear relationship between content.

متن کاملHydrogen Bonding in Binary Mixtures of Tetrahydrofuran and Water
This contribution reports on the wavenumber shifts and linewidth changes observed for the Raman bands of the C-O and C-C stretching vibrations of tetrahydrofuran (THF) in a series of binary mixtures with water. Experimental results are compared with ab-initio calculations on THF and hydrogen-bonded THF-water complexes. The Raman spectroscopic analysis of vibrational relaxation processes such as...
متن کاملHydrogen bonding and the cryoprotective properties of glycerol/water mixtures.
Molecular dynamics simulations and infrared spectroscopy were used to determine the hydrogen bond patterns of glycerol and its mixtures with water. The ability of glycerol/water mixtures to inhibit ice crystallization is linked to the concentration of glycerol and the hydrogen bonding patterns formed by these solutions. At low glycerol concentrations, sufficient amounts of bulk-like water exist...
متن کاملHydrogen bonding properties of non-polar solvents.
A combination of high-throughput NMR titration experiments, UV-Vis absorption titrations and data collected from the literature on 1:1 H-bonded complexes has been used to characterise the H-bond properties of non-polar organic solvents: alkanes, perfluorocarbons, aromatic and halogenated organic solvents. The results are analysed in the context of the electrostatic solvent competition model, wh...
متن کاملHydrogen Bonding in Water
Hydrogen bonding occurs when an atom of hydrogen is attracted by rather strong forces to two atoms instead of only one, so that it may be considered to be acting as a bond between them [99]. Typically hydrogen bonding occurs where the partially positively charged hydrogen atom lies between partially negatively charged oxygen and/or nitrogen atoms, but is also found elsewhere, such as between fl...
